FCB.ai (operated by Peach Bots S.A., Luxembourg) respects your right to request deletion of personal data we hold about you. This page explains how to make that request, what happens after you submit it, and what data may be retained for legal or contractual reasons.
These instructions apply to personal data collected through the FCB.ai website, direct interactions with FCB.ai, and — where FCB.ai is the Data Controller — data collected through platforms integrated with FCB.ai (including WhatsApp Business, other messaging channels, and web applications built by us).
1. Your Right to Request DeletionUnder the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and other applicable data-protection laws, you have the right to ask us to delete personal data that we hold about you where:
- The data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected;
- You withdraw the consent on which processing was based, and no other legal ground applies;
- You object to the processing and there is no overriding legitimate ground;
- The data has been unlawfully processed; or
- Deletion is required to comply with a legal obligation.

Use the subject line Data Deletion Request and include the following in the body of your email:
- Your full name (as it appears in any records you have submitted to us)
- The email address, phone number, or other identifier associated with the data (for example, the WhatsApp phone number you used to interact with a service powered by FCB.ai)
- The specific service or application through which the data was collected (if known)
- The country of residence at the time the data was collected (helps us apply the correct legal regime)
To protect your data from unauthorised deletion, we may ask for reasonable proof of identity before acting on the request. We will not use verification data for any purpose other than authenticating the request, and we will delete such verification data once the request has been handled.
4. TimelineWe will acknowledge receipt of your request within seven (7) days, and we will complete the deletion — or provide a reasoned explanation if we cannot — within thirty (30) days of receipt. Where the request is complex or where we have received a large number of requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months and will inform you within the first thirty days if that is the case.
5. What Will Be DeletedWhere FCB.ai is the Data Controller, we will delete personal data associated with you across our production systems, backups (on their normal rotation schedule), and internal tooling. This typically includes:
- Website enquiry submissions and marketing contact records
- Newsletter or communication preferences
- Recruitment-related data (CVs, cover letters, contact details) where you have withdrawn your application
- Chat, WhatsApp, or conversational logs where FCB.ai directly operates the service and holds the data as Controller
- Analytics identifiers linkable to you (where technically feasible)
Certain data may be retained where we are required or permitted to do so by law, including:
- Records necessary to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations
- Data necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims
- Aggregated or anonymised data that no longer identifies you
- Records of the deletion request itself and our response, for demonstrable compliance with data-protection law
If any of the above applies to your request, we will tell you in our response and specify the legal ground for retention.
7. If You Are an End User of a Client's ApplicationFCB.ai builds AI systems that are operated by our clients (for example, an insurer, retailer, or airline offering a WhatsApp service to its customers). Where such an application processes your personal data, our client — not FCB.ai — is the Data Controller of that data. In that case, please direct your deletion request to that organisation in the first instance.
If you are not sure who to contact, or if you have already reached out and did not receive a response, please email us at privacy@fcb.ai and we will help route your request to the appropriate Data Controller and, where our contract with the client permits, act on the request as Data Processor.
8. ComplaintsIf you believe we have not handled your request in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Luxembourg, this is the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD, cnpd.public.lu). In South Africa, this is the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). In other jurisdictions, please contact the data-protection authority responsible for your country of residence.
